5DB vs. 5DD in the big soccer match
On the 25th of July, 5DB and 5DD had a big soccer match. 5DD scored the first goal, unfortunately, I was too caught up in the excitement of the game that I missed who kicked it but it was a great goal. Well done to that player. Cooper from 5DD scored 3 goals in the first half and in the second half he scored one more. Millie in 5DD scored 2 goals. From 5DB, Heath scored a goal. Brad from 5DB managed lots of good saves as goalie, but 5DD still managed to win the game. The final score was 7 goals for 5DD and 1 goal to 5DB.
There were no injuries, except for Alisha who felt like she sprained her ankle. When interviewed and asked what he thought about the game, Jessie, one of the coaches for 5DB said, “The golden moment in the game was when Heath put his leg up like nothing was happening and then the ball bounced off his leg. I called it the ‘Leg of steel.”
Ella, the other coach for 5DB said, “I felt like the ball was going everywhere and it wasn’t like one of those boring soccer games where the ball just stayed in the middle for the whole game. It was a great game.”
I thought the two best on ground from 5DB were Shaun and Alisha. Shaun because he seemed to always be going for the ball and having a go. Alisha was great because she was always trying even when her ankle hurt. Congratulations to both teams and everyone else involved for a great competition. Great job everyone!
